Mellow Yellow Chore Coat

A softly structured quilted chore coat interior made from a reclaimed floral flanelette sheet and exterior made from a soft buttery yellow bed sheet that has been quilted. Paired with textured knit sleeves, pockets and a matching knit collar that was made from two pillowcases for warmth, texture and contrast. The mellow yellow exterior shows gentle variations in tone and subtle signs of wear—honest traces of its past—while the interior opens to a romantic rose print, like a hidden lining of softness and memory.

Light yet cozy, this piece is ideal for layering through in-between seasons. Designed to be worn open or lightly buttoned, it has an easy, familiar drape—practical, comforting, and quietly special.

As with all Born Yesterday garments, the Mellow Yellow Chore Coat is one-of-a-kind, made in Toronto using reclaimed textiles and zero-waste principles. Small imperfections are celebrated as part of its story.
