Care

The most sustainable thing we can do is to make intentional purchases, and care for those purchases thoughtfully.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR....

QUILT COAT AND VESTS

Our upcycled quilt coats and vests are made from primarily vintage, pre-loved fabrics that have stood the test of time - but while they're beautifully durable, they're not indestructible and should be handled with care to preserve their story and strength.

  • Machine wash in cold water on the delicate cycle with a mild detergent
  • Tumble dry low until damp and then lay flat to finish drying OR lay flat to dry
  • Use a hot iron to press out any creases or wrinkles, focusing on the collar and the pockets.  Fabric will soften with age and use.
  • Do not bleach

KIMONOS

Our upcycled kimonos are crafted from vintage, pre-loved linens and textiles - each one soft with history and charm.  While thoughtfully made to last, they deserve gentle care to keep their beauty alive for years to come. For our Kantha Kimonos, try not to pull to harshly on the kantha stitching and try to avoid contact with harsh surfaces, or snagging it on jewelry.
